Beach Party

Amelia had her first trip to the beach last weekend. She stared curiously at the ocean, slept most of the time, and later broke out in a heat rash, but generally we think she liked it. Mom and Dad are planning their return. The long-awaited sunshine fed badly needed Vitamin D to our pasty white bodies. The skimboarders were showing off in the waves. Teenagers played wiffleball. Near bliss. The trip was much needed family bonding after two weeks in Mexico. We got to lounge in the sun all day and finally returned for the July 4th fireworks spectacular on the Charles. Neil Diamond in concert plus the Boston Pops playing patriotic past tunes synchronized with the fireworks show, and about half a million in attendance.
