So we all know that not every photo is picture-perfect in the hospital. In fact, birth is downright brutal. We are frequently closer to battle than we are to bliss. So we're not trying to hide it. Happy Anniversary, oh I mean Happy Birthday!

Ashley completed a marathon birth session of nearly 24 hours to deliver Amelia Natalie Younger early this morning. She is beautiful, and her parents are in awe. Amelia almost decided to arrive on our 4 year anniversary, the day before, but instead held out until 2:10am on May 28th. She weighs 7 lbs, 2 oz and is 20 inches long, has darker (but changing) colored hair and of course the Smith chin.
